This paper will analyse these two reactions of the English Romantic poets those who directly dealt with colonialism and those who principally presented orientalist and exotic elements in their poems. They were concerned with escape from day-today reality, with images and narratives remarkable for their historical or geographical exoticism. Some other poets of the era, however, like Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron, tried to especially avoid subjects concerning European colonialism in their writings. Coleridge, William Cowper, William Blake and Robert Southey, reflected their observations of the colonialist activities in their works. No matter what their ideological stance was, some Romantic poets of the era, like S. It would not be incorrect to claim that there is a direct correlation between socio-political revolution and the literary revolution in Britain. They were considerably aware of British expansionism. Therefore, it was inevitable that Romantic writers were influenced by the political and social events in Europe. These political and social changes all signalled 'chaos' which would dominate European political, cultural, and literary life for the next quarter of a century.
The Romantic Period in England can be considered as indicative of 'an age of crises' because the era witnessed several political affairs, ideologies and strategies such as slaver trade, colonialism, American and French Revolutions. Key words: Three schools, poems, human dignity, natural beauty The poems then emerged in Romantic period as the product of these new terms or newly innovative poetic system in poetry. They introduced the terms of human dignity and beauty of nature from their literary works mostly in poems. The three schools of English Romantics were known as the pioneer of such significant ideas. The result shows that romantic human dignity and beauty of nature of Romantic period greatly influence the Romantic works at that time. Then, the data were analyzed by structural approach through intrinsic and extrinsic elements. The secondary data were taken from various books, articles, website on internet, and PDF.
Primary data were collected from the poem of the three schools Tintern Abbey, La Belle Dame sans Merci, and Ozymandias. This research was written based on primary and secondary data. The writer carried out language based approach and used descriptive qualitative method in his analysis of the selected works of the three schools. These all signify the English Romantic works of the time. The research is aimed to present prominent ideas of three schools – Lake school, Cockney school and Satanic school – in revealing the natural beauty and human dignity represented from the ideas.
